The Night Circus: The Game

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with either Erin Morgenstern nor Penguin House.
This is my personal interpretation of book and this project was made for personal and educational purposes only.

Inspired by the book of the same name, The Night Circus: the game, is a fantasy point-and-click that I made during college. Revised and improved for ©2018.
I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Director ( Yes, I'm that old) to achieve that goal.
Before you could play, an intro taken from the book will be shown to the player, immersing them to the narrative of both the game and book
The objective of the whole project was to design and code a game which had 4 unlockable areas and that the game should auto-save every time the user enters a different area.
Every time a certain area is won, a player is presented with a collectible book excerpt. And another playable area of the circus unlocks. Once all four collectibles are gained. A bonus material will unlock.
Once the player has won all the games and had collected the four book excerpts. The cauldron in the middle of the courtyard becomes clickable. The player will be directed to a fanmade book trailer by Youtube user: ubrokeapot
After the video, a link to an amazon listing of the book will pop-up. Upon clicking, a new window from the player's default browser will redirect the user to the said link.
Once you go back to the game, the outro is there to bid you farewell. Though, the player could choose to go back to the game area.
THAT'S ALL FOLKS. THANKS FOR CHECKING THIS OUT.
